BIG THINKING

Let me tell you a story before I share my perspective or experience of the fascinating books that have crossed my mind, my heart, and my soul. Books that have guided my destiny and books that opened new possibilities of rethinking. I remember being in my old office searching for something related to money, motivation, and business on YouTube. I found this dude by the name of the HipHop Preacher (Dr. Eric Thomas) videos talking about "becoming the best version of yourself through wanting to succeed as bad as you want to breathe." I can still remember the video was about 7 - 12 minutes long and I watched it over and over for several months. The HipHop Preacher's ideas resonated with me and then for the next few months I watched every single video on his channel and those individuals he suggested to read from. And from 2012 to our present time it has made a huge difference in my personal business. That business was within my home, marriage, parenthood, and career. We are the greatest sum of what we invest our time, energy, and love on.

"Success requires heart-and-soul effort, and you can put your heart and soul only into something you really desire." Dr. David Schwartz

If you met me more than 10 years ago and told me that one day:

I will be a great father.
I will be a great husband.
I will be reading 2-3 hours a day six days a week.
I will be spending tens and thousands of dollars on books/education.
I will be wake up at 3 AM/4AM sharp day in and day out to relearn to bring meaning or purpose.
I will be working out five days a week motivated by my “WHY” rather than the trend.
I will be a blogger or author.
I will be making a huge difference in tens and thousands of people on this planet.
I will be a strong man of faith despite my horrible life experience.

I WOULD HAVE LAUGHED IN YOUR FACE!!

I still remember wanting to acquire more personal and professional knowledge from Dr. Thomas, Les Brown, Grant Cardone, Brain Tracy, Tony Robbins, and others. I wish I had a friend, brother, uncle, or someone like these individuals in my early life it would’ve taken a completely different path. Of course, I am truly grateful and highly blessed for where God Almighty has brought me and the array of strategies and techniques that ALL these great individuals have shared. Because it has made me a better husband, father, coach, and instructor. It is truly monumental for anyone to take the time to listen and apply those principles.

The biggest lesson taken from the books I have read will circle back to the subject of “Thinking Learning or Learned Thought” and how to think is a lost art in my eyes. I would go a bit deeper to say; 99.1% of the population doesn't know how to think, or rethink, or know "WHAT TO THINK" but not "HOW TO THINK.” Learning how to think is one of the most important tools and essential keys that every single human should learn at every level of age. The reason is that if your brain is cluttered with garbage how are you supposed to think of goals, desires, dreams, or successes. Teaching people how to think should be a course in high schools.

How do you go about thinking? I suggest you start by reading the works of Emperor Marcus, Aurelius, Plato, Socrates, Aristotle; Cato, Adler, Frankel, and others to get a gist of how other great minds think and process information. I know for certain that thousands and millions of people will woke-up tomorrow morning with a new fire for life, a new drive in their minds, a new direction for their career, and will never fall back into their old patterns of self-doubt, pessimism, and average thinkers.

I genuinely believe that great people will always find methods of investing in their mission, purpose, and passion to achieve the person they want to become. It just takes practice and commitment. The point is this — thinkers are specialists in creating positive, forward-looking, optimistic pictures in their own minds and in the minds of others. To think big, we must use words and phrases that produce big, positive mental images.

"A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes." - Mahatma Gandhi
