THE POWER OF ENTHUSIASM
Henry Ford famously said; “ You can do anything if you have enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hope rise to the stars. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eye, the swing in your gait, the grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of your will, and your energy to execute your ideas. Enthusiasm is at the bottom of all progress. With it, there is accomplishment. Without it, there are only alibis.”
To simply understand the word enthusiasm. You have to travel to Greece, that right! “enthusiasm” comes from two Greek words “en” and “theos,” and it means to be moved or motivated by God from within. Biblically speaking, this is from the Holy Spirit. Enthusiasm means that God is working in our lives, giving us the desire of our heart and power we need to please Him daily (Philippians 2:12-13). God calls us to be enthused or motivated by the Holy Spirit that dwells within us.
You know, I would have to bet but... I believe we can all say we've seen people who never seem to lose, or when they do, they bounce right back and win again. We once had a member of our church like that, he’d been a millionaire three times over and lost it and come back again. Boy he could play the piano well too! But just to think we are surrounded with so many that have the “Midas Touch.” I’m sure you’ve heard the story, were everything they touch turns to gold. But the question people often ask is ‘What is the golden thread that runs through people like this?’ The answer is quite easy to observe and to hear. This thread is called enthusiasm, which is the common denominator of success for so many greats throughout history. I have found that there’s no other trait or characteristic in the human personality than enthusiasm. I have personally succeeded because of that cutting edge as a husband, father, student, employee, leader, or mentor.
Enthusiasm should radiate from the moment your feet touch the ground, till the time you retire. The power of enthusiasm is within you and when you apply it’s quantities to every circumstance in life, you can put the world's most powerful force to work for you.
The power of making a difference with enthusiasm:
1) Enthusiasm is like the yeast that raises the dough toward greatness.
2) Enthusiasm persuades without pressure.
3) Enthusiasm produces confidence within.
4) Enthusiasm paves the way for new ideas.
5) Enthusiasm overcomes the emotional temperature of any situation.
6) Enthusiasm build affinities and electrifies them with positive thinking.
7) Enthusiasm sparks excitement inside you, “I Wake Up & Grind.”
